T&S delivered the mechanical design and manufacturing documentation of 26 nuclear-grade hydraulic pumps compliant with RCC-MX (SolidWorks, SAP).
Industrial equipment used in nuclear environments requires extremely high reliability, precision and regulatory compliance. To support the development of hydraulic pumps for critical applications, a leading European industrial equipment manufacturer partnered with T&S for the mechanical design and technical realisation of multiple pump systems, aiming to develop nuclear-grade hydraulic pumps compliant with RCC-MX while ensuring manufacturing readiness, maintainability and long-term operational reliability.
The client, a specialised industrial manufacturer serving the nuclear sector, was developing a series of hydraulic pumps for demanding operational environments. Given the critical nature of nuclear applications, the project required strict adherence to technical specifications, robust documentation and precise engineering execution across multiple pump configurations, with close coordination between engineering, manufacturing and production-support teams.
T&S supported the project through a comprehensive mechanical engineering approach covering design, technical documentation and manufacturing preparation. The teams created detailed 3D models for the components and assemblies of the 26 hydraulic pumps in the program, enabling accurate visualisation and supporting assembly consistency and manufacturing preparation. T&S engineers developed assembly drawings, sectional views, detailed production drawings and complete parts lists for each configuration, securing production quality and traceability, and prepared technical manuals and maintenance documentation aligned with the client's operational requirements. Throughout, T&S collaborated closely with production teams to monitor manufacturing issues and support continuous resolution during industrialisation.
The project highlights T&S's expertise in mechanical engineering for critical industrial applications requiring precision, traceability and regulatory compliance, demonstrating the importance of robust engineering documentation and industrial coordination in complex energy and infrastructure projects.
