Mission

The COBOL Developer designs, develops, maintains, and modernizes business-critical applications built on mainframe environments. They play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of legacy systems that support essential business operations in sectors such as banking, insurance, finance, transportation, and public services.

Main Activities

  • Analyze business and technical requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications.
  • Perform corrective, adaptive, and evolutionary maintenance on existing systems.
  • Design and implement new functionalities within mainframe environments.
  • Manage batch processing and transaction-based applications.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
  • Support production environments and troubleshoot operational incidents.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project teams, and infrastructure specialists to ensure system reliability and continuity.
