Required Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Previous experience in COBOL development or Mainframe environments
- Good knowledge of COBOL, DB2, and/or CICS
- Understanding of business-critical information systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organized, autonomous, and detail-oriented
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Professional level of English is a plus
Your Responsibilities
As a COBOL Developer, you will help maintain and enhance business-critical applications that support our clients' operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyze business requirements and contribute to functional and technical specifications
- Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications
- Ensure application reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability
- Participate in testing, integration, and validation to deliver high-quality solutions
- Support system modernization projects, including application optimization, migrations, and integration with modern technologies
- Work closely with business teams, functional analysts, production teams, and other project stakeholders
Technical Environment
Depending on the project, you may work with:
- COBOL
- JCL
- DB2
- CICS
- SQL
- IBM z/OS Mainframe
- Version control and project management tools
- Agile or Waterfall (V-Model) methodologies
- Testing and application validation tools
